The sweet spot

In business studies, we all did a Market day. My group and I baked Brownies and Cookies. 3 things I think that went well was the Whole market day and the amount we made. Also how many Brownies and Cupcakes we had sold and Also the cooperation and communication.

3 thing that went well was
The cooking
The team work
The talking part

3 thing that didn't work was
Some teamwork at times
Rushing when we was cooking

3 thing that we could change if we did it again
Not rushing when we cook it
Talking a little bit more

wind races

In science, we are focusing on forces and how it affects everyday items and equipment. So to demonstrate it we decided to make wind racers ( Sails ) so here is the process we had to go through...

  1. Research: The first step was to look up what is it and all the forces that act on it and how to make it glind through the wind.
  2. Design: The second step was to design it and make the pictures and images come to life ( 3D). Our design was dived by three ( Because we had three people in our team)
  3. Build: The third step was to build it and draw it. BUT now we had 5 people in our team but two members were not there so we divide it but three and so that one of the members the weren't there can draw on one of there mates bit. SO I decide to put the country's I am from so I put half maori and half New Zealander because that's what I am. We also put two cardboards at the bottom to make it go through the air a little bit faster and longer.
  4. Test: Now came the test, so one of our team members had to use the leaf blower for it to be able to go through the wind. So we had to record the time/long the racer went through the wind and our time and distance were 5.07 seconds and 2.30m was our distance.
  5. Redesign/ Make changes: So after the first testing, we were able to redesign and make changes so it can be improved. SO what we did was cardboard in the middle of the paper and the pole.
  6. Test: SO now the redid test came back, so we tested it and..... it failed because the original distance was 2.30m but we did 1.80m
  7. Evaluation: SO, in conclusion, the original one was better with two cardboard at the bottom and just paper for the sail

My Favourite Character Strengths

This character trait was shown in The story of Herakles when Herakles came up with the idea to chop the heads off the hydra and then burn the stumps.
It shows us that it is important to be creative because you can come up with good ideas that could be helpful.
I think that being creative can get you a good job.

This character trait was shown in Tarzan when the two different sides would judge each other by how they would act and look. It shows us that you shouldn’t judge people by how they look because they could be a really nice person. I think that judging things can be good but it can also be bad.

This character trait was shown in the story of Herakles when he attacks the Nemean lion with no fear and no plans. This shows good perseverance and it shows you don't have to be smart to be brave.

This character trait is shown in the story of Atalanta when she goes hunting with a group of males as a competition and she is presented with the hide of there hunt by the prince. This shows you can be anyone and be proud to express it.

This character trait is shown in the wonder pets when Linny tuck and Ming Ming work together to make the world a better place and when they tried to figure out what was wrong with the animals.

This character strength was shown in the movie Zootopia when Judy never gave up hope on Nick. She was always there for him and was determined to make him believe that you can be anything you want to be. I think this shows good friendship because you should always be there for someone especially when they need a friend.

Màori and the first British Missionaries

Discuss the idea of Mythology/stories in religion, and the role myths and stories play in society . It gave us an idea of how the world was created

What similarities are there between the myths and stories of Màori and the first British Missionaries they both believed in anything

Why would difference between Màori beliefs and English beliefs cause conflict?

ancient egyptian

in social studies when are doing stuff about the ancient egyptian and here are some stuff i find out

this is what the door locks look like
Image result for door lock in ancient egyptianThe earliest door lock consisted of a wooden crossbar on two wooden brackets mounted on the door and the door frame. ... These wooden pin tumbler locks with keys were used as far back as in Ancient Egypt, which is why they are often called Egyptian locks.

Image result for wigs in ancient egyptianThe wigs they wear
Egyptian law prohibited slaves and servants from shaving their heads or wearing wigs. The base of an Egyptian wigwas a fiber-netting skullcap, with strands of human hair, wool, flax, palm fibers, felt, or other materials attached. ... Wig hair was arranged in decorative styles throughout all the kingdoms of Egypt.

Image result for toothpaste in ancient egypt                                                                   but the Egyptians also contributed a innovation to dental hygiene, in the form of toothpaste. Early ingredients included the powder of ox hooves, ashes, burnt eggshells and pumice, which probably made for a less-than-refreshing morning tooth-care ritual

Image result for clocks in ancient egyptian
Around 3,500 BCE (a long, long time ago), the Egyptians used the shadows the giant stone obelisks cast on the ground to tell the time of day. Each obelisk was built to tell a story. But they worked very well as shadow clocks. Later on, the ancient Egyptians invented the first portable timepiece.
